| The Knights of Columbus was founded on March 29,1882by Father Michael J. McGivney Assistant Pastor of St. Mary's Church in New Haven, CT. The Knights was formed to give financial aid to its members and their families in time of need, sickness or disability. The Knights of Columbus has grown from a few men in one council to more than 13,000 councils and 1.7 million members through the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Guatemala, Guam, Saipan and Poland |

Knights are Catholic men, 18 years of age and older. Knights are committed to making their community a better place,while supporting their church. Being a Knight is more than camaraderie. | Scholarships for children of members in good standing Again this year our council will be awarding scholarships to children of members that are in good standing and going to attend an approved college starting in the fall of 2009.
